There are moments when community shows up in a way that feels both powerful and deeply human—and Pilates in the Park was one of those moments.
Set against the open green space of Wilson Botanic Park, an incredible group of people came together for a morning of movement, connection and purpose. From Pilates and breathwork to shared walks and coffee, the day was grounded in something simple yet profound: people showing up for each other.
Led by Shiloh Phillips and the Regulars Movement Club, this event was created to make movement accessible while opening the door for something bigger—supporting women and children impacted by family violence.
Throughout the morning, participants were invited not only to move their bodies, but to connect. Notes of encouragement were written for those who may need them most. Conversations were shared. New connections were formed. There was a palpable sense of joy, generosity and care.
Together, this community raised an incredible $2,620.62.
These funds directly support therapeutic programs, resources and early intervention initiatives—helping children and caregivers rebuild safety, connection and wellbeing after violence.
Events like this remind us that while the work we do at Emerge is critical, it is strengthened—and made possible—by communities who choose to stand alongside us.
We are deeply grateful to Shiloh, the Regulars Movement Club, House of Movement, the many local businesses who contributed to the giveaway, and every single person who showed up, donated, and shared in the spirit of the day.
Behind every dollar raised is a woman or child moving toward safety, healing and a chance to rebuild.
And behind this event is something just as important: a community choosing to be part of that journey.
