Individualised support, guided by evidence

Emerge delivers personalised case management grounded in a harm minimisation model. We work alongside women and families to strengthen safety, autonomy and decision-making at every stage.

We recognise that leaving or navigating violence is not linear. Our role is to support choice, safety and dignity, while responding to the distinct needs of both women and children.

Empowering women & children

Emerge recognises children as victim-survivors in their own right. Alongside women’s case management, we provide specialist children’s case managers who focus on children’s safety, wellbeing, recovery and connection — ensuring their voices, experiences and needs are addressed directly.

Family violence recovery is rarely linear. Our harm minimisation approach recognises this complexity, supporting families with practical assistance, advocacy and therapeutic care while helping them build safer and more stable futures.

Key elements of case management

  • Comprehensive risk assessment and safety planning for women and children
  • Practical support, including housing, finances, health, education and school engagement
  • Advocacy and system navigation across family violence, legal, education and health systems
  • Ongoing review and adjustment based on changing needs and risk

This dual-focus approach supports women to remain safer for longer, strengthens outcomes for children, reduces re-victimisation, and helps families stabilise and rebuild their lives.

I feel happy when I come to therapy, I feel really happy and safe.
