Early support for children creates lifelong change

Children exposed to family violence often carry the effects of trauma long after the violence ends. Without early intervention, these impacts can affect emotional regulation, learning, relationships and long-term wellbeing.

Emerge is a sector leader in child-focused early intervention, delivering innovative programs that support children and caregivers to heal and reconnect.

Back on Track

Our flagship program, Back on Track, supports children aged 5–12 who have been exposed to family violence and are showing signs of trauma-related behaviour.

Through therapeutic group work, play-based learning and caregiver support, children learn to:

  • understand and regulate emotions
  • rebuild trust and connection
  • strengthen relationships at home and school

Mini Messy Bots

Programs like Mini Messy Bots extend this work to younger children aged 2–6, strengthening attachment and co-regulation during the earliest developmental years.

With the right support at the right time, children can heal — and cycles of violence can be disrupted.

Your support can help expand these programs so more children receive the early support they need.
